Hi again everyone.

It's been a long time, but I'm finally done with this bugger. I finally got an approval from New Line Cinema just today, and can now make the image of this artwork public! This is the first of three litho runs, and should be on sale by Christmas at the very latest. I hope you guys like my vision for the FOTR film, I had a lot of fun with it.

The medium is acrylic on Illustration board, and the Original is 30 x 40 inches. Traditional techniques and airbrush : )

Hi Jerry,
This is one of the most amazing pieces of art I've ever seen. :D
The design and details are magnificent. I love the map background with its curling edges - and the balrog and the ring seem to jump off the canvas!

All of the characters are superbly rendered, but your Frodo.....Wow, words fail me! Shocked

(Looking in a thesaurus for superlatives right now.)

It is wonderful to see this section up close. He is so beautifully painted! The skin, facial expression, and the eyes are perfect.....and so are the nose, mouth, eyebrows and jaw line for that matter. I like the way you've painted his hair too.

Frodo/Elijah's face seems to be a difficult one for many artists to capture. You obviously have no problems with capturing it at all! :D

I am looking forward to the time when the lithograph is available for sale. I hope that you will be willing to ship to Oz. Smile

May I have your permission to sit at the computer, staring at your painting for the rest of the day? Wink

Jerry..... flippin' heck, that is absolutely amazing sir. It was a total joy to speak to you at SW CE this year and about this piece in particular and your thoughts about making it, and now to see the final piece is just totally out of this world!!

Man - you have got some serious serious skill!! WOWWEEEEE!!!

I can't wait to see what you come out with for The Two Towers and Return of the King (and then ofcourse i hope the Hobbit.. in due course ;))

hi jerry,just had to put my 2 cents in,what a fabulous painting,you
couldn't get the characters to look any more real to life than if you had
them pose for this.just a wonderful,fabulous,marvelous,amazing,gorgeous
and all the rest of the superlatives out there to describe your painting.
